Self-development can feel like it has to be squeezed in.

Does self-development feel like a luxury?

Do you feel as though you don’t have the time or headspace to focus on yourself?

Do you feel guilty for considering prioritising yourself?

Recently, I met with an amazing client for our first coaching session. They're super busy- lots of juggling and spinning of plates. They came to our session with some notes and apologised that they were written on the back of a child’s colouring sheet.

We reflected on how indicative this was of their reality; how it summed up the sheer busyness of life and how prioritising ourselves - even for a small amount of a day, a week, or month - can feel impossible. Like it has to be squeezed in.

You’ll hear me talk about this a lot, because it's a consistent thread in coaching conversations with clients. How self-development can feel:

*Self indulgent.

*Too time consuming.

*Too much of an effort when you’re shattered!

*Like you should be doing something more 'productive'.

I get it, I really do. This resonates, deeply.

However, I promise you that:

*It is worth the effort.

*You won’t regret spending the time (even a small amount of time) focussing on you.

*You deserve it.

I'd love to hear from you about:

What small step you could take, today, to prioritise yourself in a way that feels right for you.
